Who is responsible for your data?

What information do we use?

When you contact us by form, email or phone, we process the contact and business details, selected enquiry topic and message you provide. We use them to answer your question, prepare an offer and manage a possible customer relationship.

Send message submits your form details to Formspree over an encrypted connection. Field values are not saved in cookies or persistent browser storage. Email links open your own email application.

Legal basis and retention

We process enquiries to take steps at your request before entering a contract, or on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. During a customer relationship, processing may be necessary for a contract or a legal obligation.

Enquiries that do not lead to an offer or customer relationship are normally deleted 12 months after the last contact. Information related to an offer or customer relationship is retained as required for the contract, potential legal claims and statutory obligations.

Website use and cookies

The site stores your cookie choice in your browser for six months. Ruutu’s greeting and motion pause preference are remembered for the tab’s session. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts and images are served from the site’s own files.

The hosting provider may process technical connection information, such as your IP address and the time of a request, to deliver and protect the website. Cloudflare provides the website hosting.

Recipients and protection

Access is limited to people and service providers who need the information to handle an enquiry or customer relationship. We do not sell your information or use it for automated decisions or marketing profiles.

Contact form information is sent through Formspree, Inc. Golden Consulting Oy is the data controller and Formspree, Inc. is the data processor. Form details are forwarded to the email address designated by Golden Consulting Oy and may be processed to respond to your enquiry and prepare a possible customer relationship. Formspree may also process technical information, such as your IP address, to prevent spam.

Form information may be retained in Formspree and our Google Workspace email service for the retention periods described above. The website does not keep its own submission archive.

Formspree’s services are hosted on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the United States. Formspree states that it uses European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for personal data transfers. Google may also process information outside the European Economic Area under its terms and applicable transfer safeguards. You can request more information about the applicable safeguards from the data controller.

Your rights

You can request access to your information, correction of inaccurate data, erasure or restriction of processing. Where applicable, you may object to processing or request data portability. Contact myynti@goldenconsulting.fi.

You may lodge a complaint with Finland’s Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman if you believe your data has been handled in breach of data protection law. More information: tietosuoja.fi.
